Shielded Cable Types

The electrical cables consisting of more than one insulated conductors enclosed inside a conductive layer are known as Shielded Cables. The conductive layer which encloses conductors is the shield. This shield is mostly composed of braided metallic strands or non-braided metallic tape. The metal used in making this shield is ordinarily copper.
